National Library of Wales– where Records relating to Wales are kept
   Welsh Tithe Maps – View maps of 1840 – An interesting site but need perseverance.
   Welsh Newspapers – Newspapers (both Welsh and English language) up to 1918
The National Archive– where Records relating to Britain are kept
National Library of Scotland – Maps – The best place to find O.S. Maps online (1870-1950)
Old Merthy Tydfil – photos of Merthyr Borough including Trelewis & Bedlinog  (originally Alan George Merthyr website)
