Gelligaer Historical Society is currently researching the developement of Gelligaer in the 19th Century with the intention of publishing a book later this year. A lot of data has been collected on Gelligaer parish coal mines – and when the book has been published it is hoped we can share some of the detail of this research into coal mines which is too extensive to go in the book.
